Children do not know how to carve up the elephant, even think to cut them into pieces and end up arguing. Meanwhile
passing by a minister of the king with his elephant who hears them arguing and offers: do not worry, take my elephant, add it to your eighteen and that you will become the division. So
fecero ed il primo figlio ne prese la metà (nove), il secondo un terzo (sei) ed il terzo un nono (due). La somma fa diciassette! I tre fratelli sono felici ed il ministro si rimette in cammino con il suo elefante.
